2020-2021 Tuition Rates
1/2 hour class: $37
45 min class: $45
1 hour class $54
1 1/2 hour class $75

Individual Lessons: $37/30 minutes (Fees must be paid at time of scheduling.)
Drop in fees:
45 minute to 1 hour class $15
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hour class: $20

Tuition installments are due the 1st of each month September through May. Tuition for summer classes is due the 1st of the month June and July. A late fee of $15 is automatically billed to each account after the 15th of each month. As a courtesy, tuition is split into 10 monthly installments and the monthly installment applies whether there are 3, 4, or 5 weeks in a month. Lessons will be suspended for accounts 60 days past due. Tuition is non refundable. All cash payments should be made directly to the office personnel so a receipt can be issued.
Returned Checks and Non-Payment
All returned checks are subject to a $35 fee. This will be added to your account and balance is due before lessons can be resumed. If a balance is left unpaid, student will not be able to participate until balance is paid in full.
All students are assessed a $25 membership fee.
Families with more than one dancer are assessed a $35 membership fee.
You are responsible for all aspects of class participation unless a class withdrawal form is received and entered in the computer. These are available at the front desk. You are responsible for all fees incurred up to that point. Tuition is non-refundable. Tuition is posted on the 1st and cannot be changed after that date.
Costume deposits are due by November 1st. Costumes are ordered over Thanksgiving Break.. If you DO NOT intend to participate in the recital and would not like to order a costume, you must inform the studio before November 1st. If the office is not informed, you are responsible for all costume fees. Costumes are made to order. Specific costume deposit information will be handed out in November.
Absentees & Missed Classes
No adjustments are made for missed lessons. Please refer to our attendance policy.
Bun Kit Fee
Bun kits will be sold at the front desk for $3.00 ea. If a student is not prepared, they will be referred to the front desk to receive a kit and your account will be billed! Students are encouraged to prepare hair kits to remain in their dance bags. Hair kits could include extra rubber bands, bobby pins, bun covers. Directions for how to prepare a proper hair bun are available in the office.
Attendance & Conduct
Students must come to class on time and prepared. Regular attendance is imperative to the dancer’s progress. Be respectful to teachers, parents, staff and especially your classmates. Treat each dancer with support, respect and encouragement. Teachers reserve the right to dismiss any dancer who displays unsatisfactory behavior. If a student is more than 15 minutes late, teachers reserve the right to ask a student to sit and watch class.
Students are placed in class according to their age, ability and experience. One or all may apply when placing the dancers in the appropriate class level. Rhythm company placement is by audition in June of each year. Please visit the company tab for more information on our Rhythm Companies.
Make Up Classes
If classes are missed due to inclement weather or are cancelled by the studio, these classes may be made up on a different day as available on our class listing. THSD reserves the right to deliver class content via an online system in the event that classes are not able to be conducted live for any reason including, but not limited to: weather, teacher absence, or governmental advisory.
Safer Studio Policy
THSD requires all staff and students to stay home when they are ill. In order to reduce community spread of Coronavirus, we follow best practices and recommendations from our local health department and industry associations, More Than Just Great Dancing and Youth Protection Advocates in Dance. THSD understands that unlike older children and adults, young children cannot be expected to maintain social distancing at all times. Therefore, THSD focuses on a hierarchy of measures beginning with keeping ill people home, followed by frequent hand cleaning and good hygiene practices, amplified cleaning, and curricular and facility adaptations to minimize contact and mingling where possible. All studio classes are backed up on an online learning platform. In the event a class is unable to be held at the studio, classes will convert to an online learning platform until in-studio classes can resume. .
Continuous Parent Communication System
THSD uses a "green, yellow, red" system of continuous parent communication regarding the status of classes which can be found at the top right-hand corner of our website and social media. Green indicates to attend face-to-face classes as usual. Yellow indicates a cautionary change to service delivery, so please check your email. Red indicates clients should stay home and attend class online.
Photographs & Video
Feel free to wait in the studio while your child is in class. All children in waiting room MUST have a parent with them. At times, the waiting area is very full and we WILL NOT be responsible for watching any children. THANK YOU!!
Parking is available on Santa Fe and in the rear of the building. Please refrain from dropping students off in the yellow zone in front of the building.
Lost and Found
All items will be placed in a bin by the waiting area. All items will be taken to Goodwill during Winter break and at the end of the year! Keep track of your things!
Please listen to radio stations for class cancellations due to weather. If USD #305 cancels school for weather related reasons, the studio will also be closed. We do not close for teacher in service days or minor holidays. If you are unsure, please call the studio for further information.
